Here's a breakdown of each portion of your bill

Account Number

Your unique Xcel Energy account number, please use this number when contacting us. Also needed when registering for an online account.
Amount Due
X
Your current outstanding balance to be paid by the due date.
Due Date
X
The date that your payment is due. You can choose a Custom Due Date here.
Amount Enclosed
X
The payment amount you are submitting.
Automated Bank Payment: Indicates you are enrolled in an automated bank payment plan.
Service Address
X
Your address that is associated with this account. If you need to change your address, please contact our customer service team.
Payment Calendar

The day highlighted in red is when your payment is due. You can choose a Custom Due Date here.
Payment Address

Tear off the bottom portion below this line if you'd like to send in a check to pay your bill. Your account number, the payment due date for that billing cycle, the amount due, and the to and from addresses are already here. So all you need to do is fill out the check (payable to Xcel Energy), write down the amount enclosed in the corresponding box, and slip it in the envelope we give you. Don't forget to leave 3-5 days for your letter to make it to our billing office and for your payment to be processed! You can also pay electronically through My Account or the mobile app.

Space Heater Charge: Cost of any space heater use for the current billing period.
Non Recurring Charges/Credits Detail: Specific debit or credits to a customer's account not usually recurring every month such as a late fee.

Factors that might influence your total monthly costs include billing cycle date changes (28 vs 32), weather impacts either hotter or colder, and other factors such as an old appliance needing repair, the purchase of a new appliance, or additional people in the home.

Next Read Date

The next time your meter will be read. We read your meter once a month and determine the amount of energy you’ve used by subtracting the previous reading from the current one. Most meters can be read through a wireless signal. If for some reason, yours can’t be read automatically, an Xcel Energy meter reader will visit your home up to once a month.
Meter Reading Information

Here is the information we gathered from your meter:
Current Reading: What your meter read for energy usage at the end of the current billing period.
Previous Reading: What your meter read for energy usage at the end of the previous billing period.
Usage: How much energy you used during this billing period.

Electricity Charges
