2019 Colorado Steam Regulatory Rate Review

Xcel Energy is keeping customers informed about our efforts to improve our downtown Denver steam system and provide customers with the high-quality service they expect. On January 25, 2019, we filed a regulatory rate review with the Colorado Public Utilities Commission, requesting base rate increases to recover certain costs, in order to continue to provide steam customers with a reliable choice for their energy needs.

What to Expect

We plan to communicate with and assist our steam customers through several channels, and are available to discuss individual bill impacts and answer questions about the rate review.

If you are a steam customer who would like to learn more, or talk to our Xcel Energy experts, please contact either your Key Account Manager or Thermal Sales and Development Specialist Steve Kutska.

Filing Documents

You can follow the proceedings and search through documents at the Colorado Department of Regulatory Agencies E-Filings website. Search for Proceeding No. 19AL-0063ST.

Energy Saving Tip

Make sure to regularly change the air filters on your HVAC system (at least once per month). Old, clogged filters are far less efficient than new ones.

Break Ground, Not the Law

Always call 811 before digging in your yard to avoid hitting buried gas or electric lines. Not only is it the safe thing to do, but it's the law.
