It’s time to switch out your old bulbs for new, energy-efficient LEDs. And take advantage of the savings, while they last. Right now, we’re partnering with participating retailers to offer special discounts. Save up to $3 on select models of LEDs, find bulb deals.
LEDs, especially ENERGY STAR®-qualified products, typically use 70 to 90% less energy and last at least 15 times longer than the traditional incandescent bulbs they replace.1
LEDs come in all shapes and sizes, to fit just about any fixture in your home. How do you choose?
1. First, consider taking a quick tour of your home and think about which lights you use most often. Replace those first, to save more on your bills.
2. Next, consider Watts vs. Lumens.
LEDs use less energy, choose a wattage that's about one-fourth of what you usually buy for an incandescent bulb. Always refer to the "lumen" or "lighting" output on the product package as your guide.
|450 lm||40w||4w to 7w|
|800 lm||60w||8w to 12w|
|1,100 lm||75w||13w to 16w|
|1,600 lm||100w||17w to 22w|
|2,600 lm||150w||Not Available|
3. Some types of bulbs work best for specified types of fixtures, for example, flood lights work well for recessed lighting. Different types of bulbs work best for different fixtures.
