Step 1 - Verify That the Customer Qualifies

Verify that the customer is an Xcel Energy electric customer in Minnesota, by filling out and submitting this form.

All requests received by 3 p.m. Monday through Friday will be responded to within 24 hours. Requests received after 3 p.m. Monday through Friday or on on-business days will receive a response on the next business day.

Step 2 - Ensure Equipment Qualifies

Before the customer purchases a clean water pump, make sure it qualifies for a rebate by ensuring it meets all of the following criteria:

• New and retrofit clean water pumps which are Pump Efficiency Index (PEI)-rated can qualify for our rebates
• Equipment must be purchased on or after July 1, 2019
• Horsepower range between 1 and 200
• RPM of 1800 or 3600
• Pump Efficiency Index (PEI) rating of less than 1.0. The efficiency rating can be verified by using the free Hydraulic Institute (HI) energy rating data base: http://er.pumps.org/pei

Step 3 - Install Equipment and Submit Rebate Application

After the clean water pump(s) are installed and operational at the customer's facility, fill out and submit a digital application.

Step 4 - Receive Rebate

• Rebates are sent in approximately two weeks if the application contains all the required documentation.
• Eligible trade incentives will be processed at the time the customer rebate is processed, and are mailed within two weeks thereafter.
