HVAC Equipment Rebates

Heating and cooling your home typically accounts for 50 percent of your energy bill. A new, high-efficiency natural gas furnace with an ECM (Electronically Commutated [fan] Motor) offers the biggest bang for your buck. You'll save on your energy bills for years to come without compromising your comfort or safety.

Get Started

  1. Find a registered contractor.
  2. Choose an eligible system.
  3. Apply for the rebate

Complete and mail the application by July 31, 2016 (include your dated invoice). It takes about six weeks to receive a rebate check.

The heating rebate program is available to qualifying Xcel Energy customers in participating states who receive our residential natural gas service for heating system rebates and electric service for ECM rebates. Not all states offer the same rebates.

Additional information

There is no limit to the number of HVAC system rebates you can receive. If you install two qualifying units, you must submit two forms.

Rebates for new home construction should be negotiated between the builder and the homebuyer to determine who receives the rebate. Only one rebate per piece of qualifying equipment will be honored.

Energy Saving Tip

Rather than crank up your heat in the winter, keep your thermostat at a moderate level and bundle up. (Who doesn't love fuzzy slippers?)

Break Ground, Not the Law

Always call 811 before digging in your yard to avoid hitting buried gas or electric lines. Not only is it the safe thing to do, but it's the law.
