We offer energy-saving services to help lower your tenants’ electricity use, and save money on energy bills. Your tenants can:

• Save on energy bills
• Live more comfortably and affordably
• Learn more about energy conservation

In order to participate in the program, multi-family buildings in our electric territory must meet the following criteria (based on building size):

• Properties with five or more units must follow the Low Income Verification guidelines posted on the MN Division of Energy Resources website

Our program service provider, Franklin Energy Services will determine if your building is eligible for free energy-efficiency updates. Once qualified, an efficiency expert will arrange a visit with you and schedule the in-unit assessments to determine which improvements can be made in the individual units. Based upon the assessment results, improvement options may include:

• Installation of screw-in LED light bulbs
• Appliance replacements, such as refrigerators, freezers and window or wall AC units
• Recycling old refrigerators, freezers, and window or wall air conditioners

Note: Appliances that are replaced through this program will continue to be the property of the original owner.
