Compressed Air and Fluid System Optimization

Make energy-saving improvements with our study funding and rebates to offset your costs.

For many industrial operations, energy costs can be reduced by keeping equipment operating more efficiently.

Routinely examining fluid and compressed air systems can help identify and address areas that waste energy. We offer two types of study funding for MN business electric customers that can help you identify efficiencies and rebates that lower your cost for improvements.

Compressed Air Study

The compressed air equipment that supplies the energy to your production systems will benefit from a compressed air study to uncover air loss, which equates to energy loss if not addressed. We provide study funding every five years for the compressed air systems 10 hp or larger.

After an ultrasonic leak survey, the study will include results, recommended steps for improvements and cost estimates. To offset the cost of your improvements, your projects may be eligible for additional rebates.

With pre-approval, you can earn study funding every five years based on your system size. You must be a business electric customer of Xcel Energy in Minnesota.
