During periods of higher than usual precipitation, Xcel Energy enacts plans to keep our facilities operational in the event of a flood so that we can continue providing customers with safe and reliable service. In certain flood-related situations, Xcel Energy may need to disconnect electric and/or natural gas service to ensure customer safety. Customers should not attempt to disconnect either electricity or natural gas service themselves.
