We are committed to working closely with landowners, local governments, and others to successfully build and operate the Dakota Range Wind Farm in South Dakota located in Codington and Grant Counties.

Construction is expected to begin in 2020, with completion scheduled for 2021. Our representatives will be in contact with landowners regarding land agreements and the construction schedule in your area. Please check back for project updates.

Project Benefits

  • New, low-cost wind will save customers money and reduce carbon emissions
  • Create enough renewable energy to power more than 160,000 homes
  • A typical wind farm of this size will create 200 construction jobs with about 10 full-time operations jobs
  • Provide more than $35 million in payments to landowners over the life of the project
  • Generate an estimated $36 million in local property tax payments over 25 years
