We’ve cut our carbon emissions by 42% in Colorado, but we’re not stopping there. We’re more than halfway to our goal of an 80% reduction by 2030, and aiming to achieve 100% carbon-free electricity across our eight-state service territory by 2050.
Xcel Energy -- Colorado continues to move forward with the $2.5 billion Colorado Energy Plan, which includes construction of new wind, solar and storage capacity and retirement of two coal-fired power plants. It takes advantage of our state’s abundant wind and solar resources, along with available incentives that significantly lower the price you pay for electricity.
