Education Grant Guidelines

We support organizations that improve, science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) education.

The economic growth and future of the communities we serve relies on educational systems and programs that produce a quality workforce for tomorrow. We are specifically interested in the development of students in the areas of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics. To that end, the Xcel Energy Foundation invests in STEM-related programs, such as the following:

  • Programs that provide hands-on learning opportunities that demonstrate the linkages between math and science, real-world applications, and future careers
  • Programs that increase the number of students entering and completing post-secondary education in STEM disciplines and pursuing STEM careers

If you have questions, email us or view a list of regional corporate giving representatives and contact your appropriate representative.

Energy Saving Tip

Energy-efficient appliances and light bulbs may cost a bit more up front, but they can save big money over the life of the product. Plus, some energy-efficient equipment may be eligible for rebates to offset the initial cost.
