With Limited Off peak, you can save money by shifting part or all of your electricity use to limited-off peak hours. During those times, select appliances will be connected to a special meter, switched on and energized at a lower rate. If they remain on or are used during peak times, you will pay a higher rate.
Typical appliances include thermal storage heating, radiant floor heating or electric water heating - all of which can store heat at night for use the following day.
|Basic Service Charge||$4.95|
|Off Peak Period||$0.02642|
|On Peak Period||$0.308|
You can save money with Limited Off Peak by only using certain appliances during the limited off-peak period. During these times electricity is less expensive and provided to you at a discount. If your appliances are connected to your special off-peak meter during peak times, you will pay a higher rate.
If you are a low energy user during the off-peak times, Limited off-peak may not be the best choice for you, because there is not a lot of usage to shift to lower priced periods. The amount of electricity usage you are able to shift could potentially be minor, and would not offset the cost of the monthly charge associated with having a second meter.
Those that use at least 100 kWh per month from 10 p.m. to 6:30 a.m. could benefit most from this plan.
