All residential customers are eligible for Custom Due Date.
All small business customers are eligible for Custom Due Date, except for those in Colorado.
Large business customers are not eligible for Custom Due Date.
A Custom Due Date may be established, however, it does affect the way billing may appear on your monthly invoices.
By establishing a due date of the (date) of each month, your current bills will always be issued before the previous month's bill is due. As a result, your bill will reflect a previous balance in the details portion of the statement, and a "reminder" may be printed on your bill advising of the previous balance. This does not affect your account negatively, but may cause some alarm or confusion when the bill is received.
It is possible that once or twice a year, you will have a month where no bill is due, followed by a month where two bills are due. This generally occurs in the months where a federal holiday is observed. This is due to the minimum number of days that are required between when a bill is issued and when a bill is due. This also means, you did not have a bill due.
In addition, if the preferred due date falls on a weekend or holiday, the due date will be the immediate business day following.
Set your hot water heater to no higher than 120 degrees Fahrenheit. This isn't just energy smart—it's also safer, since it reduces the likelihood of accidental burns.
