DENVER – Xcel Energy has completed repairs to a major natural gas line that was leaking last night. The line is located at approximately 56th and Vasquez streets.
Customers in the area of Federal Boulevard on the west to Havana Street on the east, and from Hampden Avenue on the south to 60th Avenue on the north can now resume regular use of natural gas. Xcel Energy would like to thank customers who helped out by lowering their thermostat to reduce usage during this situation.
Xcel Energy was able to shut off the natural gas break on a major natural gas line serving the Denver metropolitan area late Friday night. The 20-inch natural gas pipeline has been returned to full service.
Only a handful of minor outages that affected some businesses located in close proximity to the line occurred.
