Motor Efficiency, by ConservationWise from Xcel EnergySM, offers rebates for Xcel Energy business electricity customers who install qualifying VFDs and NEMA Premium® efficiency motors.

1 Motor must meet or exceed the NEMA (National Electrical Manufactures Association) Premium™ efficiency standards. Used, repaired or rewound motors are not eligible.
2 Existing motors of same or smaller size will receive the upgrade rebate of $16.50/hp, while existing motors that are upgraded to a larger size will only receive the new motor rebate of $4/hp.
3 VFD Rebates used for HVAC fans, pumps, cooling towers, process equipment and industrial fans and operate in excess of 4,000 will qualify. VFDs installed on chillers, elevators, refrigeration compressors and air compressors must apply for rebates through the Custom Efficiency program.
