Air Source Heat Pump Rebate
Our 2008 Air Source Heat Pump Rebate program by BudgetSmart from Xcel EnergySM is designed to generate maximum electric energy savings for our customers by focusing on proper installation practices. Qualifying customers who purchase and install a new, eligible air source heat pump from one of our registered contractors may receive up to $330 cash back.

Eligibility
The installation property must be located in Minnesota and receive residential electricity service from Xcel Energy to qualify for the rebate. Rebates are given only to customers whose central air conditioner or air source heat pump was installed by a contractor who is a registered participant in Xcel Energy’s cooling program. Please read the back of the rebate application for full program details. Units installed in 2007 are eligible for rebates through June 30, 2008, after the unit has been tested. Please note that ductless mini-split systems (AC and heat pumps) do not qualify for Xcel Energy rebate programs.

How to get started:
- Read through our program materials.
- Search for registered contractors. Only contractors who are actively participating in Xcel Energy’s quality installation program have our rebate applications.
- Select one of these contractors to install your system and test it at start up. Your contractor then will fill out the rebate form on your behalf. Please review the form carefully so that you are aware of program guidelines.
