Credit/Debit Card Payment
Credit/Debit Card Payment by PaySmart from Xcel EnergySM allows you to pay your energy bill online or by phone using your credit or debit card for a small fee* – through our partnership with NCO Financial Systems. You no longer have to worry about how long it may take for your payment to arrive on time – your payment will post the next business day. Additionally, you will have two payment records to reference: your Xcel Energy statement and your credit/debit card statement.
We accept MasterCard, Discover and Diners Club credit/debit cards.

*For this convenience, credit/debit card payments are subject to a transaction convenience fee of $4.85 for each credit/debit card payment.

Per a recent policy change, NCO Financial Systems, has eliminated the $500 limit on debit/credit card payments. You can make payments over $500 without having to make multiple payments. However, you may want to check if your credit/debit card payments are subject to individual transaction and daily limitations set by your bank.
