New Mexico Integrated Resource Planning

What is Integrated Resource Planning (IRP)?

An IRP examines the types of resources to be included in the utility’s portfolio, the amounts that must be added, and the timing for those additions. In effect, an IRP provides a strategic plan for future resource decisions by the utility.

If you are interested in participating in SPS's IRP process for New Mexico, please contact SPS at (806) 378-2340 or spsnmirp@xcelenergy.com.

SPS will file its IRP at the New Mexico Public Regulation Commission (NMPRC) by July 16, 2009.
