Windsource Filing

On June 24, we announced a filing with the Colorado PUC with major changes to the Windsource program. Under our past structure, it was difficult to cost-effectively grow the program. As many of you know, energy under the current program comes solely from two Colorado wind farms with 60 MW of capacity, the Ponnequin and Peetz. Now that Xcel Energy has become a leader in wind energy with over 1,000 MW of wind capacity online in Colorado, we plan to open up our portfolio to meet customer demand for voluntary renewable energy and set the stage to increase the amount of renewable energy in Colorado beyond the Renewable Portfolio Standard.
