Sherco Emissions Reduction Project

We proposed to implement a major emissions reduction project at the Sherburne County Generating Facility (Sherco).

While we submitted a notice of this proposed project in January of 2007, we have since engaged in significant study, refined our analysis and modified the proposed project.  As a result, on December 21, 2007, we submitted a replacement filing to the Minnesota Public Utilities Commission and the Minnesota Pollution Control Agency

The proposed project will result in significant reductions in emissions associated with Sherco Units 1 and 2 while at the same time expanding the facility’s capacity and extending its useful life.  Below is the cover letter associated with the project as well as our Comprehensive Emissions Reduction and Uprate Proposal.
