Global Reporting Initiative

The Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) Sustainability Reporting Guidelines provide a framework for ensuring consistency, transparency and accountability in corporate sustainability reporting. Although we have used the GRI framework as a reference for our previous Triple Bottom Line reports, this is the first year we have formally adhered to the G3 Sustainability Reporting Guidelines at the B application level. Additionally, we have incorporated the pilot version of the Electric Utilities Sector Supplement into our reporting framework wherever possible. We have developed a detailed index to the GRI indicators to provide page numbers or locations for specific indicators throughout the report.

We have published an annual Triple Bottom Line report since April 2005. Prior to this, we issued separate environmental, financial and corporate citizenship reports.
