Education Partnerships 

In weekly e-mail sessions, Minneapolis employees serve as E-mentors to students at Sanford Middle School. Students and mentors exchange weekly e-mails designed to strengthen students' writing and computer skills.  They also meet several times during the school year to tour Xcel Energy facilities and discuss careers in the utility industry.

Xcel Energy also supports Sanford with cell phones donated by employees that are collected by the school and then sent to a recycling company in exchange for a cash gift to the school.
