Mentoring Program

Employees are key to helping Xcel Energy fulfill its mission: being a top utility and satisfying our customers by continuously improving our operations to be the lowest cost, most reliable, environmentally sound energy provider.

Mentoring is one component of our development strategy to support individual and organizational success. The goal is to build leaders by developing people to their full potential. Mentoring offers employees many opportunities to confront barriers, make critical decisions, strengthen relationships in formal and informal networks and better align people and processes.

Xcel Energy partners with the Menttium Corporation and uses the MENTTOR program, a mentee-driven, mentor-guided process for one-to-one mentoring. A diverse group of employees receive professional development coaching from business leaders in a one-to-one mentoring process.
