Xcel Energy Inc. declares first common stock dividend
MINNEAPOLIS - On Wednesday, Sept. 27, 2000, Xcel Energy Inc.'s Board of Directors declared Xcel Energy's first common stock dividend at a quarterly rate of 37.5 cents per share, or $1.50 per share on an annualized basis.
The dividend to be paid will be a prorated amount for the 53 days from the date of Xcel Energy's formation on Aug. 18, 2000, through the record date of Oct. 9, 2000.
The prorated dividend is approximately 21.8 cents per share, which is 53/365 of $1.50.
The dividend is payable Oct. 20, 2000, to shareholders of record Oct. 9, 2000.
