Build a better quality home in Colorado and save

You’re ready to build your dream house. You want a comfortable home that is efficient, economical, healthy, durable, and will provide a good investment return when it is time to sell. You’re ready for an energy-efficient home built through the ENERGY STAR New Homes program by Xcel Energy.

With an ENERGY STAR New Home, you can:

  • Cut your energy costs up to 30%, or even more
  • Experience fewer maintenance concerns
  • Benefit from healthier indoor air quality
  • Enjoy a more comfortable and quieter home
  • Gain higher resale value

Xcel Energy provides training, consultation and diagnostic testing services to our participating builders. We also support the builders’ efforts to have their homes become ENERGY STAR certified. This no cost program helps your builder create a home for you that surpasses other homes in terms of comfort, energy efficiency, moisture control, air quality and durability.

Who Qualifies?

Your new home must:

Choose your state

Our products and services differ based on state. Please select your state (or the state you're interested in) from the list to the left.

Why do our products and services differ based on state? Because our business is regulated by state. We have regulated operations in eight Western and Midwestern states. The different regulatory body for each state we serve determines what products and services we deliver in that state.
