Qualified North Dakota residents get a lower winter rate
Overview
North Dakota residential customers can receive a lower rate during the winter for electric space heating. You must have electric space heating as your primary source of home heating. (A duplex meter socket is not necessary for the rate.)
Examples of electric space heating equipment include:
- Electric baseboard
- Electric boiler
- Electric furnace
- Air source heat pump

Fuel Clause Rider 2010 average = $0.02531 per kWh.
The rate and the average fuel cost must be added together to calculate the kWh charge.
