Who Qualifies

You qualify if you:

  • Are a natural gas customer of Xcel Energy and live in Colorado.
  • Purchase and install the equipment in 2013.
  • Submit a complete application by July 31, 2014.

Even if you qualify, do you need a new furnace or boiler?

  • Consider starting with a Home Energy Audit to see if upgrading your furnace or boiler is right for you.
  • A heating contractor can help you determine if you need a new furnace or boiler and help you determine the right size for your home.
  • It’s not just about efficiency! Both an auditor and a contractor can tell you if your heating system is safe.

How to Get Started

  1. Purchase and install a new, qualifying furnace or boiler between January 1, 2013, and December 31, 2013.
  2. Get your 2013 Heating System Rebate application from your contractor or download the rebate application.
  3. Complete and mail the application by July 31, 2014 (include your dated invoice). It takes at least six weeks to receive a rebate check. There is no limit to the number of rebates per home. If you install two furnaces, you must submit two applications.

Qualifying Equipment

Only equipment listed on the Air-Conditioning, Heating, and Refrigeration Institute (AHRI) website (residential section) is eligible for rebate. Efficiency ratings are from AHRI.
