Lighting Efficiency

Colorado businesses save money, earn rebates while improving lighting quality

Overview

Colorado businesses can save money and earn rebates while improving lighting quality without cutting corners through Lighting Efficiency.

For a limited time, qualified customers can earn an even bigger rebate. See Benefits for more details.

Installing energy-efficient lighting and controls can help you significantly lower energy bills, earn substantial rebates and improve lighting quality.

We offer rebates on a wide variety of lighting projects and applications including retrofits of existing systems, reductions in the number of lamps (delamping), upgrades as part of a renovation, installations in a new building, small business lighting projects and custom applications.

Benefits

When you take advantage our Lighting Efficiency rebates, you:

  • Choose from five different ways to lower costs and earn rebates
  • Can capitalize on 50% bonus rebate on upgrading old T12 lighting for a limited time
  • Lower upfront costs and shorten your payback - typically three years or less
  • Benefit from longer life, reduced maintenance, improved color quality and less glare

Limited-time bonus rebates for upgrading obsolete T12 lighting

For a limited time, we are offering up to a 50% bonus rebates to convert inefficient T12 fluorescent lighting systems. Due to U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) regulations, the manufacture of nearly all T12 fluorescent lighting will be phased out in 2012 and will no longer be available.

After 2012, maintaining a T12 system will become difficult and expensive. Upgrade your system now to avoid increased equipment and maintenance costs. To assist you, we’re offering bonus rebates for:

  • T12 – T8 retrofits
  • T12 – T8 delamping
  • T12 – T5 retrofits

Beginning March 8, 2011 through March 31, 2012, these 50% bonus rebates are available to business electricity customers in Colorado - above and beyond current rebate levels - for select T12 upgrades. Rebates can not exceed 75% of the cost.
