• Offset the cost of heating improvements with rebates that cover up to 60% of your project’s cost; some efficiency upgrades, when coupled with our rebates, can pay for themselves in just a few years or even less.
• Lower your natural gas use, which lowers monthly energy bills and frees up money for other uses or helps boost your bottom-line savings.
• Reduce reliability and maintenance concerns for older systems when you replace or upgrade them.
• Make your industrial processes more efficient, saving money and often streamlining operations.
• Afford to implement an ongoing maintenance standard that reduces energy waste.

We offer a variety of options to fit your business needs:

• Equipment rebates for making improvements to your heating system, including:
  • Commercial Heating Efficiency rebates for boiler systems used primarily for space and/or domestic water heating, including efficient new boilers and furnaces, commercial water heaters, add-ons, tune-ups, steam trap repair and pipe insulation.
  • Custom Efficiency rebates for industrial process heating systems, new commercial boilers larger than 10 million BTUH, improvements not eligible for other rebates or any heating system used for purposes other than space and/or domestic water heating. Requires preapproval.
• Heating Optimization study co-funding helps identify ways to optimize your heating system, from heat recovery or steam-to-hot water conversions to system-wide optimization studies and more. We’ll fund up to 75% of your study costs up to $25,000 per study.
• Steam trap survey and repair/replacement rebates help you initiate and implement an ongoing trap-maintenance and repair program.

• You must be a business natural gas customer of Xcel Energy in Minnesota.
• Custom Efficiency rebates or heating optimization studies require preapproval prior to any invoice, order or contract dates. Other rebates are available without preapproval.
• Transport and District Energy customers can qualify in some circumstances if they have an Xcel Energy natural gas account.
• Standard prescriptive rebates are available for qualifying heating equipment used for space heating and/or domestic water heating with no more than 30% other process load (such as laundry, swimming pool, industrial process or other alternate heating loads).

• For steam trap audit funding and repair rebates: See the trap maintenance application.
• For equipment improvement rebates: Complete and mail any equipment rebate applications for improvements or replacements to equipment that may qualify.
