Why do our products and services differ based on state? Because our business is regulated by state. We have regulated operations in eight Western and Midwestern states. The different regulatory body for each state we serve determines what products and services we deliver in that state.

Major factors that affect your energy bill include:
- customer type (residential or business)
- energy usage
- fuel costs
- optional services (participation in services/products/programs that bring related cost or discount)
- fees, taxes and riders based on location
- season
- usage patterns (for time of day rates)
Please refer to your bill as other factors may also impact what you pay.
Some of these factors change frequently like fuel costs. But all rates and rate changes for customers must be approved by your state’s energy agency in advance.
