Riley Hill

President and CEO, Southwestern Public Service Company, an Xcel Energy Company

Riley Hill is president and CEO, Southwestern Public Service Company (SPS), an Xcel Energy Company. He most recently served as the vice president and chief operating officer of Southwestern Public Service Company.

Previously he served as regional vice president of Customer and Community Relations at Public Service Company of Colorado (PSCo), an Xcel Energy company. Prior to that, he served as the vice president of Construction, Operations and Maintenance at PSCo, where his primary functions included the construction, operations and maintenance of the electric and natural gas distribution and high-pressure gas infrastructure. He joined Xcel Energy in 2004 as the director of Denver Metro West after serving 24 years at Westar Energy in Kansas.

Riley received a Bachelor of Science degree in electrical engineering from Wichita State University in 1989.  While in Colorado, he served on the board of directors for the Mile High Chapter of the American Red Cross, Aurora Economic Development Council, and the Denver/Boulder Better Business Bureau Foundation. Hill currently serves as a member of the Executive Committee and Board of Directors of the Golden Spread Council of the Boy Scouts of America, the Governing Board of Directors for United Way of Amarillo and Canyon, and the Community Advisory Board for the Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center.
