Our products and services differ based on state. Please select your state (or the state you're interested in) from the list to the left.
Why do our products and services differ based on state? Because our business is regulated by state. We have regulated operations in eight Western and Midwestern states. The different regulatory body for each state we serve determines what products and services we deliver in that state.
NOTICE: The Disposal Services' Very Small Quantity Generator (VSQG) Collection Program will discontinue operations on September 28, 2012. After this time, hazardous and non-hazardous waste will not be accepted through this program.
Xcel Energy Disposal Services offers a program to businesses and non-profit organizations for the disposal of hazardous and problem waste. Our Very Small Quantity Generator (VSQG) hazardous waste collection program allows eligible participants to transport their own waste to Xcel Energy as a cost-effective alternative to hiring a hazardous waste transporter to pick up small amounts of waste.
To qualify for this program, you must generate no more than 220 pounds (approximately 22 gallons) of hazardous waste per month. The types of waste we accept include paint, solvents, thinners, strippers, wood preservatives, oils, aerosols, batteries, chemicals… see complete list.
If requested, Xcel Energy can assist with applicable transportation requirements.
We are conveniently located near downtown Minneapolis. Contact Xcel Energy Disposal Services today at 612-630-4516 or email at disposalservices@xcelenergy.com if you have questions or for more information.
