Custom Efficiency for Trade Partners
Help customers make efficiency improvements and install equipment to earn rebates
Overview
Your customers can earn rebates on equipment or process improvements that lead to energy savings with Custom Efficiency. This program offers money back for choosing energy-efficiency investments that exceed standard efficiency options, but aren't covered under our other flat rebate conservation programs.
The more energy the project saves, the more your customer can earn in rebate dollars.
Note: All Custom Efficiency projects require preapproval before purchase and installation.
Trade Partner Benefits
Trade incentives are available for your support and participation in the program. The larger the project the larger your trade incentive is. Custom Efficiency rebates earn a trade incentive of at least $50. Larger incentives for big projects are available. Earn 5% of your customer’s preapproved rebate amount (up to $500) when you submit our Custom Efficiency trade incentive form. The trade incentive form is located in the "Additional Information" section.
- Rebates reduce the customers initial purchase price
- If it qualifies for a rebate your energy savings claims are validated by Xcel Energy

How to Get Started
- Do not order or install anything until you complete your Custom Efficiency application and receive an official preapproval from Xcel Energy for your project
- Contact your Xcel Energy representative of our Business Solutions Center at 1-800-481-4700 for details or assistance
- Submit a rebate application and corresponding project worksheet (if available) to one of our dedicated Energy Efficiency specialists at energyefficiency@xcelenergy.com or fax to 1-800-311-0500.
