Marvin E. McDaniel Jr.

Vice President and Chief Administrative Officer

Marvin McDaniel is vice president and chief administrative officer (CAO) at Xcel Energy Services Inc. He also is responsible for the Talent, Technology and Customers (TTC) business areas. These three key business areas contain the functions related to Human Resources, the Information Technology area, and the Customer Care and Revenue Cycle area.

Prior to being named vice president and CAO, McDaniel was vice president of Human Resources.  He has been employed by Xcel Energy and its predecessor companies for more than 20 years, holding various management positions in Commercial Operations/Energy Markets, Corporate Accounting and Business Unit Consulting.

McDaniel earned a Bachelor of Science degree in business administration from Colorado State University and an MBA from Regis University. 

He serves on the board of the American Benefits Council and is on various committees for Big Brothers Big Sisters of Colorado.  McDaniel also is a member of the Vanguard Client Council, is on the advisory board for Regis University and is a member of the Committee on Aging for the Rose Community Foundation.
