Regulatory Filings

On May 31, 2013, Northern States Power Company, a Wisconsin corporation and wholly owned subsidiary of Xcel Energy Inc. (Xcel Energy), filed an application with the Public Service Commission of Wisconsin (PSCW) seeking an increase in base electric rates and natural gas rates effective January 1, 2014. The request represents an overall increase of $40.0 million in electric revenues and $4.7 million in natural gas revenues. The requested increase in electric rates is necessary to support continued investments in electric generation and transmission facilities to reliably meet the electrical demands of customers, and to recover increased operating costs necessary to provide electric service and comply with stricter regulatory requirements. The requested increase in natural gas rates is necessary to support continued investments in natural gas distribution facilities and ongoing environmental cleanup of a site in Ashland, Wisconsin.

Our products and services differ based on state. Please select your state (or the state you're interested in) from the list to the left.

Why do our products and services differ based on state? Because our business is regulated by state. We have regulated operations in eight Western and Midwestern states. The different regulatory body for each state we serve determines what products and services we deliver in that state.
