We believe day-to-day performance is managed most effectively through an ongoing conversation between the employee and his or her manager about job expectations and performance. All non-union employees at Xcel Energy have an individual performance and development plan or (IPAD).  

IPADs include:
• The essential competencies for the position
• Annual individual performance goals tied to business priorities and job functions
• Individual accomplishments towards those goals
• Annual individual development goals and results
